I was lucky enough to receive the newest edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them that was released on 14th March. The cover boasts that this edition contains 6! Fantastic New Beasts!! if beasties are your thing. What the cover doesn’t mention are the illustrators (and why it doesn’t mention this I am not sure) but the fantastic green cover is done John Duddle while the amazing interior illustrations are done by Tomislav Tomic.
The illustrations really are fantastic and make the book even more wonderful because let’s face it, I wouldn’t read it without the illustrations. I am not a very faithful Harry fan but eh. Life’s short.
I believe the proceeds of a certain percentage of the book price (or the entire amount, I’m not sure) will go to a charity called Comic Relief Lumos? Something like that? Anyway, so if you are buying the books, you are doing good.
That said, this book is a whole lot of fun especially if you are a Potterhead. The illustrations are fantastic, the beasts are suitably beastly and will ignite your imaginations. I enjoyed this slim volume.
